The Ideal Solution for Industrial Communication

[Introduction]

The C102 family supports 2 independent RS-422/RS-485
serial ports for the PC/AT and its compatible systems.
The boards enable a PC to communicate with one or more
computers/devices having the standard RS-422/RS-485 interface. Through
the 9-pin D-type connectors, the C102 family provide more reliable
communication link for a longer distance (4000ft) and breakthrough the
typical RS-232 50ft limitation. With the opto-isolation protection,
the board protects your PC from electrical hazard caused by ground
loop effect, and thus improves the overall system reliability in the
industrial environment.

The C102 family are equipped with a state-of-the-art ASIC chip. This
newly designed chip is capable of accomodating all the circuit
commonly used by multiport boards. The number of IC is decreased, and
thus the board is kept in compact half-size.

The switchless and jumperless design makes the C102 family easily
configured by software. To meet the next generation requirement of
high speed transmission. The 16550/TI550C (fully compatible with
16550) UARTs with built-in 16 bytes FIFO are used in the whole family.
The TI550C UART can prevent data loss even under high speed rate up to
921.6K bps. In order to meet the demand of reliability, the Surge
Protection technology is introduced. The Surge Protection can prevent
damage by abrupt high voltage (2000V) from lighting or thundering.
