C104 4 Port RS-232 Board Family
The Economic Multi-Serial Solution

[Introduction]

The C104 family are general purpose multi-serial I/O
boards for PC/AT and compatible systems. Each of them
provides 4 RS-232 communication channels which allow you to connect to
any serial devices such as modems, terminals, printers, data
collection instruments,etc.

The C104 family are equipped with a state-of-the-art ASIC chip. This
newly designed chip is capable of accomodating all the circuit
commonly used by multiport boards. The number of IC is decreased, and
thus the board is kept in compact half-size.

The switchless and jumperless design makes the C104 family easily
configured by software. To meet the next generation requirement of
high speed transmission. The 16550/TI550C (fully compatible with
16550) UARTs with built-in 16 bytes FIFO are used in the whole family.
The TI550C UART can prevent data loss even under high speed rate up to
921.6K bps. In order to meet the demand of reliability, the Surge
Protection technology is introduced. The Surge Protection can prevent
demage by abrupt high voltage (2000V) from lighting or thundering.

The C104 family is suitable under most popular operating systems such
as Windows NT, Windows 95, OS/2, Windows 3.x, DOS, SCO UNIX/XENIX,
Linux, QNX, PICK OS, MUMPS and IMS Multiuser DOS, etc.
