The Smartio C168H/PCI provides
smart multi-serial solution for the
PCI bus. Each board provides 8
asynchronous serial
communication channels which
allow you to connect to any serial
devices such as modems,
terminals, printers, instruments,
etc.

One of the advantages of the PCI
design is that the system resources (I/O space, IRQ)
are assigned by the
system automatically. This makes the board
installation easier because there is
no need to check the I/O space and interrupt resource.


The Smartio C168H/PCI is designed in compact size
(half-size) with Surface
Mount Technology. To improve the overall performance,
the TI550C
communication controller with built-in 32 byte Tx/Rx
FIFO are used and can
prevent data loss even under high speed rate.
