Standard page

The standard page of advertising is about the size of an A4 printed sheet with one or two colour photographs, subtitle, kind of accommodation, and other information taken from the Property Details Form, including advertiser's telephone, fax  and E-mail address if available.

Supplementary page

As well as the second photo on your standard page, you can offer an addictional page with extra photos or graphics to show other sides of your property: interior, terrace,   view,  etc. You can also add up to 400 extra words with further details of the property, the sites around, your booking conditions, etc.

E-mail forwarding to fax or to post

Having an E-mail address can absolutely improve the success to the advertisements on our site. That's why, if you do not have your own E-mail address we offer you a service that lets Internet users send an initial inquiry for you to us by E-mail. We then forward that message to your fax machine, or we print it out and send it to you by post. We are not able to reply by E-mail for you, but we provide a standard form which ensures that the sender includes their telephone, fax or snail mail address for you to get back to them to arrange bookings. The cost of the E-mail sending service is L. 12.000 for 3 months for private owners in Europe. There is a premium for agents. Advertisers who tested this service for us received up to 4 inquiries a week!

On-line late availability

"Late Availability" is a very successful service which permits to get last-minute bookings. Internet users decide the week they want to take a holiday, and view a listing by country of the properties that are available that week, together with eventual  price reductions.

There are now two late availability seasons - from the beginning of May to the end of October for summer properties, and from Christmas to Easter for ski and winter sun properties. As well as showing the actual availability for your property, you can also indicate that you offer short breaks for Spring and Autumn, and any last minute price changes.

Direct Internet Address

Direct address is a new service that gives you your own unique web address, which you can feature in your brochure and other advertising material. It allows people to go direct to your property on the "friends with friends" Internet site, by typing your direct address into their Internet browser. All addresses will start "www.tasteofitaly.com\bedandbreakfast". You can choose up to ten extra characters that will uniquely identify your page. So your address would be "www.tasteofitaly.com\bedandbreakfast".yourname". All letters will be in lower case, without spaces. There is a one-off set up charge of USD 15 (before VAT)

Ski Front Page Index

Our special Ski Front Page Index features catered and self-catering ski chalets and apartments in Europe and North America. There are links to other ski-related Internet sites such as resort facilities and snow reports.
Winter and Summer advertising
Advertising your ski chalet for 12 months, you can also give details of the summer facilities in the resort, which will also be listed in the main geographical index. So you will get bookings for both the ski season and the summer season, all year round

To advertise your property in the Golf Index just include these details on your Property Details Form.

Villa sales

Several of our advertisers who are selling their holiday home asked us if we would advertise them on the Internet. So we will launch a special web site for holiday property sales. The site is called Villas - http://www.villas.com. It is designed in a similar format and marketed in the same way as our highly successful "friends with friends" advertising pages. The Villas advertisements show different details about your property, and therefore need a special application form. So if you wish to sell your holiday home, please call or E-mail and ask us for a VillaSales advertisers pack.

Links to other web sites

We will no longer provide links from a page to an advertiser's own web site or to any other commercial sites and this for three principal reasons: 

1. Traffic is lost from our site, to the detriment of our other advertisers.
2. We have no control over the quality or content of other sites. Sites can move or go off line without our knowledge - "dead links" reflect badly on the quality of the "Ciao Italy" site. Sites which start with details of one property or with simple tourist information, often add details of other properties. This is to the detriment to our "Ciao Italy"' other advertisers.
3. Advertisers with links to their own web sites can no longer track that inquiries originate from "Ciao Italy" via the link. This has led advertisers to seriously underestimate the value of advertising with "Ciao Italy".
